Ice Cream
My first project in Houdini made without a tutorial. Took a whopping 10 weeks to finish!

Pretty straightforward flip sim with viscosity. Viscosity was increased over edge to prevent the ice cream from melting on itself. The chocolate pieces were animated by hand for control. The flip also had a custom stick and elasticity wrangle to give the particular interaction behavior I was looking for with the chocolate.
UVs were also created procedurally via an attribute created in the flip source. This allowed me to apply a grainy bump map on the ice cream without the texture stretching as it was being dispensed at the start.
Both the subsurface and transmission passes were rendered and graded in Nuke.

Rendered with Mantra in Houdini and comped in Nuke.
