Snail Soft Body

This was a short project that was made when Vellum was first released in Houdini.

Snail was rigged and animated in Maya and brought into houdini, where it was turned into a vellum soft body and stiffness was painted areas where I wanted the snail to interact with the log. A custom particle solver was then used to create the slime trail in its wake.

Rendered in Arnold and comped (with background using an imported 3d cam) in Nuke.
